Medical Volunteer
Position:
HEI is currently looking to recruit a paid Medical Volunteer with the following roles and responsibilities:
- Psychiatric and physical health assessments
- Supporting treatment of patients within a multi-disciplinary team and facilitating referrals for further treatment interventions
- Assisting in the running of HEI’s clinics, assiting with hospital visits, and conducting home visits
- Patient education, especially psychoeducation
- Documentation as per protocol and timely reporting
- Supporting the development of training modules and conducting training on health, pharmacology, and mental health if required
Qualifications and criteria:
- Recognised Degree in Medicine
- A Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Good command of English
- Passion for community work, professional, and able to work in a team.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Position:
HEI is currently looking to recruit an Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with the following roles and responsibilities:
- Support in the coordination and completion of necessary reporting requirements by the organisation or donors on HEI programme activities
- Analyse and prepare thematic reports on issues for HEI’s advocacy
- Prepare an annual report of HEI’s activities
- Support the liaison and work with HEI’s external consultants in developing the IMS
- Support in the development of necessary policies, guidelines and processes in the execution of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) portfolio
- Feedback on the effectiveness of policies, guidelines and processes in the execution of M&E portfolio
- Update HEI website to maintain HEI’s visibility
- Support the community outreach program where needed
Qualifications and criteria:
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in public policy, international development, economics, or related field
- A Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Passion for community work, professional and able to work in a team.
- Excellent written and oral proficiency in English.
- Good computer skills.
Remuneration will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualification.

Project Coordinator
Project: Participatory Action Research on Social Emotional Learning
Position:
HEI is currently looking to recruit a Project Coordinator with the following roles and responsibilities:
- Overall coordination and oversight of the implementation of project activities
- Set up the project Monitoring and Evaluation and feedback mechanisms
- Liaison between various partners involved in the project
- Coordination of Steering Committee meetings
- Ensure the development and updating of content for social media
- Complete the necessary purchase requisition and documentation for payment processing
- Coordinate and ensure that project deliverables and funder reports are delivered on time
- Undertake research related to the themes of the project
Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Team-management and leadership skills
- Documentation management and ability to use project management tools

Psychosocial Support Officer (PSSO)
Position:
HEI is currently looking to recruit a Psychosocial Support Officer (PSSO) with the following roles and responsibilities:
- Providing psychosocial support to patients to meet their needs with regard to access to healthcare, education for children, or livelihood opportunities
- To ensure the smooth integration of case management services in the overall treatment and care plan of the patient
- To liaise with external parties or partners in facilitating access to resources to meet these needs
- To participate in community outreach activities
- To work along with the HEI team in providing capacity building training to the community
- To maintain timely and systematic documentation of organizational activities undertaken
Qualifications and Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
- A Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Possess a passion to serve the marginalized
- Passion for community work, professional and able to work in a team
